A true-life story, HOLLER charts the consequences of an argument between a husband and wife who are trying to cope with the frustrating pressures of the economic downturn. The script is based on a conversation overheard by writer-director Cassius Matthias.
Katy and Alex have been bickering for a long time. This is not a particularly unusual occurrence. But on this occasion the situation escalates out of control turning into a harrowing scene of domestic violence.
Made
in Black & White, HOLLER was shot in a single day for a few hundred
pounds. The film stars Katharine Dower (AKA Katy Bartrop) and Alex
Dower, and features their young son Albert "Albie" Dower.
